The great work of saving the stories, letters, films, photos, and precious relics from this avataric advent has been underway for years, but now you too can help. Never before has technology made physical and digital preservation and sharing so easy, allowing access to so many to learn more of Meher Baba.

Photos of Meher Baba have been shared over and over since the 1920s and figuring out who actually took the original photo is not always possible. Original negatives are also rare and can give hints but do not always provide surety about copyright or who took a photo. Even to be the first to scan an old print and put a copyright symbol on a website does not necessarily tell us all we need to know. Insofar as possible, MAC strives to provide copyright info. Most of the collection holders expressed a desire to have their collections shared online with few strings attached. Sometimes the historical interest of what collection a close disciple of Meher Baba owned has its own value. Jean Adriel probably didn't take most of the photos in her collection (Elizabeth probably did), but Jean did write notes on the back of many of the prints so it is of some historical interest to scan and share this info.

Meher Archive Collective is committed to honoring Meher Baba through a Cooperative culture of Harmony, Honesty and Trust.
Our volunteers and staff pledge to be of Service to all those interested in finding out more about Meher Baba.
